GET /chains?q=ethereum&status=active&limit=20&offset=0 · GET /chains/{chainId}. List defaults to active chains; status accepts active, deprecated, incubating or all. limit 1–100, offset 0–30000. Source: https://github.com/ethereum-lists/chains (MIT); preserve its copyright and licence notice. Chain IDs, status and reused-chain warnings are returned unchanged. RPC entries are metadata, not verified or guaranteed-free endpoints. GET only; bodies, caller URLs and extra parameters are rejected. All responses include source/licence, fetchedAt and readOnly metadata. Shared cold-fetch protection: 10/minute, 300/day per provider (Apiary limits, not published upstream quotas). Concurrent requests reuse one fetch. Public upstream access has no account billing balance; hosting costs and availability still apply.
Ethereum Lists public registry metadata through Apiary's existing read-only gateway. No provider account, API key, subscription or wallet connection is required. Registry documents are cached for six hours; they are not live on-chain readings. RPC URLs are returned as untrusted directory entries and are never contacted. No signing, transactions, balances or prices. Independent integration, not provider endorsement.
